Adam Fitz' soulful hollerin' has resonated through seminal Chicago-landclubs since 2005 when he released his debut album, Between the Incident and the Event.
Singer, folk storyteller, country crunk rocker and melodic screamer; Adam, a Chicago native, draws on seminal songwriters that were staples in his South-side childhood home (Tom Waits, Van Morrison, John Prine) and marries them with the indie sounds that crossed his path as a long time record store clerk. Compared to John Fogerty by TimeOut Chicago and Rod Stewart by the Chicago Reader,Fitz has a full-bodied, crazy preacher, beyond-his-years rasp that landed opening slots for Sharon Jones and the Dap- Kings, Syl Johnson and Roscoe Robinson but also fit just right supporting Spoon, Smoking Popes, and Smashmouth.

In 2010 Fitz changed gears, hung it up, and enrolled in school to study education and music. Now, Fitz is a Kindergarten teacher for CPS and has a rejuvenated belief in performance as well as a new catalog of original songs. Fitz’ shout-y, confrontational vocals are still in play, however, with a trained confidence, he has found comfort in the new-found nuances of his voice and employs finesse and dynamic to the new material to contrast the explosive vocal bursts. An album of new material has been stared and is in the works for 2015. Adam will be making solo and small ensemble appearances regionally as he ramps up to the release of his third studio album.
