I am a saxophonist/pianist born in Ethiopia in November 1977.
In my artistic pursuits I strive to be inspired to the fullest, and use Ethiopian culture as an ending source of inspiration on matters of love, faith, God, family, and country.

My musical influences include St. Yared of Axum, John Coltrane, Bob Marley, Muluqen Melesse, Wudasse. and the countless jazz musicians who have blessed my ears since my birth.

Some highlights of my musical career include:

Tenor Saxophones and Keyboards with Ethio-Jazz Group Wudasse

Co-Creator of Film Score for acclaimed Ethiopian Film Maker Haile Gerima, with Jazz Pianist Vijay Iyer.

Continued experience as a music educator in Ethiopia.

I am currently the manager and engineer at Jorga Multimedia.

My Musical Research focus areas include the use of Traditional Ethiopian Instruments in a symphonic setting, and exploring the musical heritage shared by African nations and nationalities and thus promoting African Unity Through the Arts.

I am also interested in the power of music as a mode of worship and the creation of musical pieces that help the listener get in a state of mind for the maximum worship and praise experience.
