Aaron Mason is a guitar player, singer, and audio engineer in Northern Virginia with over 20 years of experience: from learning the guitar at 11 and joining his first band at 13, to touring the world as lead guitarist with the hardcore punk band Good Clean Fun in 2003 and fronting his own band A Papier Mache Monster in 2007.
Since 2009, he’s dedicated his time (quite obsessively) to the art of sound recording and has recorded a number of singer/songwriters and bands in the DC area. Recently, Aaron has been playing guitar with Derek Evry as part of “His Band of Misanthropes” with credits as Audio Engineer and Co-Producer on the band’s 2014 release Down To The Wire. He’s also engineered and mixed three other records released in 2014; The Cowards Choir’s Cool Currency, Lauren Calve’s Between The Creek And The Tracks, and Mud Rey’s Lusi. He is now working out of The Blue Room in Herndon, VA and works freelance under the name Sound Masonry Recording.
