He grew up in a suburban household with both his mother and father. He has one younger brother and one younger sister. AK has always been a leader and not a follower. Music was never a big thing in his family. It was all about sports. Aaron had a natural gift for baseball. He made a pretty big name for himself around the Hampton Roads area. Baseball was his life until around the age of fifteen when he noticed that he had a voice. He started writing songs and singing them to his girlfriends. This has now transformed into his writing about love and relationships to this day. He bought a small piece of equipment and started to lay his songs down to reality. He would give them to his family, and friends as presents and during special engagements, since he didn’t have much money. This began to start a little buzz around his high school and local venues. AK has had no professional musical training. He taught himself how to sing, write, and harmonize while shooting Nerf basketball in his room at home. He was simply born with natural talents and the passion for music came to him very easily. When AK was a senior in high school he had a very difficult decision to make, choosing either baseball or music. He was offered scholarships from two different colleges, Chowan University, NC and Kings College in Tennessee. Does he go to college and play ball or pursue something that isn’t a guarantee, but that he feels passionately in his heart & soul about?

So, it was time to get serious. Aaron knew of a local R&B group in his hometown that was making their own music so a friend of a friend introduced them. They also had heard good things about AK and that he could sing. AK sang an old After 7 song for them in the driveway of the studio where they were recording one night. They were instantly intrigued. Right away, AK began working with them and developed a great partnership with their producer, Tim Byrd. The two knew they had stumbled upon a creative bond. They began to work together more and more. They became close friends and started creating the sound that you hear today. They decided to start their own production team called TAVA Entertainment. TAVA is an acronym for Tim and Aaron from VA. With their combined talents, AK’s music couldn’t be stopped. All the music you hear is written, produced, arranged, and mixed by TAVA Entertainment. As of today, they have worked with some major artist in the music industry including BoyzIIMen. They gave AK some great advice by telling him to move up North where he could be closer to more opportunities and advantages. He took their advice!

Aaron now resides in NJ, where he is close to Philadelphia and New York City. You can say he likes the lights and big city life of the major markets. Right away he began to make serious moves and connections. The tri-state area welcomed AK with open arms., loving the sound that TAVA Entertainment had created for him. Within months he released his first LP under an Independent label . The single called “Gotta Love” sold 30,000 units and reached all the way up to #7 on Billboards Top R&B sales chart. Life is good!

Currently, Aaron has started working for Atlantic Records as an A&R Scout . Also, Aaron and Tim have just finished a compilation CD composed with different artist they work with under TAVA Entertainment on Datpiff.com (Across the Globe). Their work ranges from artist development, ghostwriting ,solo artist performance, to licensing for TV/film. With all this in the works, AK still finds the time to record and release his NEW LP called “Another Level”. So, with all of this potential on the table, and an artist like Aaron who appeals to such a universal fan base, be prepared for Aaron ~AK~ Kane to actually take it to ANOTHER LEVEL.
