old Essence Brown has decided to follow her dreams. Some call her Essence, Some call her Emonai, ALL know her as a Truth teller. Essence says, "sometimes the truth delivered raw and real is painful. Nothing personal, just the Truth." Essence started writing poetry as a child just to express her feelings. Out of that came a natural progression toward Spoken Word and Hip Hop performing at high school, at church, then at Central State University.

Rapping was just a hobby, but Hip-Hop is in her Soul she says, "I have to do this!" Essence is working on her 1st CD, The Essence of Hip Hop is coming soon.
