Heavy metal band 9mm Solution was formed by guitarist Dave Gregor (formerly of Morta Skuld), bassist Jason Hellman (later replaced by Chad Novell), drummer Joe Tilman, and singer Hobbes Caltous in Milwaukee, WI, in 2003.
The group played around the Midwest, building up a following, and signed to Mortal Music, a label founded by Tim King, bassist for SOiL, for its debut album, One Shot... One Kill, which was released in the summer of 2006; King produced the disc. 9mm Solution switched to Rock Ridge Music for its second album, The Dream Is Dead, released on June 9, 2009, although King continued to produce the group. ~ William Ruhlmann
