Los Angeles based Latin rock band Cábula got involved in the local scene in the early '90s.
After touring around California along with similar rock en español acts, the band had the opportunity to make its first album, called Antidepresivos. In 1999, musicians Ricco Labin and Omar Velazco decided to leave, being replaced by drummer Sergio García and keyboardist Rudy Sánchez. After releasing Comunicate, Cábula's "Shala-la" started climbing on Latin rock charts. ~ Drago Bonacich
